Getting more productivity in manufacturing sector in the UAE

The manufacturing sector is crucial for the UAE economy. Sales of manufactured goods are worth over $20 billion a year, and contribute to around 13-14% of GDP. Manufacturing is also an important source of employment. At the time of the 2006 census, around 226,000 people, or about 11% of the workforce was employed in the manufacturing sector.
